Praying for the woman I’ll be in 5+yrs I hope she’s happy, and loved, living life unapologetically, doing what she loves.

okay here’s my controversial opinion of the day

it’s okay if the things you like aren’t, like, artistic masterpieces.

not everything has to be deep and full of symbolism and a groundbreaking. it’s okay to just like things because they’re fun or goofy or have characters you really like. it’s honest to god okay to say the things you like are bad, especially since all standards of artistic merit are basically made up anyway.

enjoy the garbage for what it is.

If your intentions aren’t pure, I do not want you in my life. Not as a friend, not even as an acquaintance. I’m all the way good.

“A little kick” a Ray Palmer x Fem!Reader drabble

N/A: Hope y'all like this 💛

image

You woke up when you felt a hand in your stomach.

When you open your eyes, you turned to see Ray, sitting and showing a guilty smile.

“Sorry, I didn’t want to wake you up, honey” he murmured softly. You sat down, resting your back on the backboard of the bed.

“What are you doing?” you asked in a sleepy voice.

“I felt a kick, it was … it was the baby” he replied and smiled sweetly. You loved watching Ray’s eyes light up when they talked about your son, even if he was very tired.

“He kicked! Look!” you exclaimed and took Ray’s hand to guide her to the exact point in your stomach. He smiled nervously until he felt the kick himself, where his hand was.

His gaze went from your belly to you and back to your belly. He was amazed.

He moved closer to your stomach, without removing his hand even though he no longer felt movement, and began to speak. He felt a little silly then, talking to your stomach but didn’t give much importance.

“Hi, little one, I’m … I’m your dad” said Ray.

You watched him with a mixture of fun and tenderness. The dream had moved away from you and had gone far away; suddenly you felt completely awake.

“He kicked harder, keep talking” you told him.

“Okay, I’ll tell you a couple of things, your mom is the most beautiful woman on earth” he said, looking directly into her eyes and you felt your cheeks flushing “but you’ll see that when you get out of mommy’s belly.”

Your smile grew even bigger, if that was possible.

A few minutes passed but the baby didn’t move anymore so you and him lay down in bed again.

“God, a baby is there!” he commented in amazement, as if the idea that you were pregnant had just hit him. You laughed

“Oh, yes, that’s where I hid it” you replied, amused.

He joined your laugh.

“I know you’re pregnant, I just can not believe we’re going to have a child”

You approached him to curl up on his chest and Ray ran a hand down your waist, caressing your stomach discovered by a short pajama.

“You should get used to it, he’’ll want to go out in five months”.

“I’ll do it. You should sleep, it will not be good for the baby if you don’t sleep well” he said and you smiled. He had acted very protective from the very moment he knew you were pregnant. He would be a great father.

“You woke me up” you accused as you closed your eyes and concentrated on the sound of his heartbeat.

“And i already apologize for that, so, go sleep, S/Y”

“Okay” you said, finally resigned. “I love you, Ray.”

“I love you too, Y/N.”

You fell asleep in a few minutes and the next morning, when you woke up, you told Ray the dream you had; about a little boy very similar to him, with exactly his same dark and bright eyes.
